TRUNK SHOWS:

We are frequently asked “what exactly is a trunk show”? The answer is quite simple. During a trunk show a designer will ship a vast majority of their line to a store for the customers to see and try on. You get a very large selection of styles at a trunk show, more than a store usually carries in stock on a day to day basis. Many times the designer will be present in the store and you get the chance to interact with them and make specific changes to a garment. Years ago, designers would ship their lines to a store in trunks, hence the term “trunk show”.
